How do I apply for a teaching position with the AMDSB?

How do I apply for a support staff position with the AMDSB?
For all support staff positions (educational assistant, secretary, custodian, technical resource assistant, etc.), we require a cover letter, a resume and three work-related references. Applications for casual positions are accepted at anytime and will be retained on file for one year. How do I apply for a Principal or Vice-Principal position with AMDSB?
The Board does not accept unsolicited applications for administrative positions. Principals and Vice-Principals are hired to a pool from which they would be assigned to schools. The process begins in the late Fall with an introductory meeting and concludes with an interview for selected applicants in the Spring.
What is the Board’s interview process?
Interviews are held for all supply, long-term and permanent teaching or support staff positions within the Board. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly by a Board representative.
When are occasional teacher interviews conducted?
Interviews for the elementary and secondary occasional teacher lists are held only when the Board identifies a need to hire additional occasional teachers. If your application is available on Apply to Education and you have indicated an interest in occasional employment, you will be considered for an interview.
When are interviews scheduled for the other supply lists (EA, Custodian, Secretary and TRA)?
Interviews for these positions may be held throughout the year, as required.
Where can I find job postings?
Vacancies are posted internally first, only those positions unfilled by internal applicants will be posted. Unfilled teaching positions will appear on www.applytoeducation.com and support staff positions may be posted in regional newspapers and/or on the career opportunities page on the Board’s website.

Does the Board require a Criminal Records Check?
Yes, all school board employees in Ontario are required to submit a Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screening. The document is a condition of employment and must have been obtained within 6 months prior to your date of hire. You will be asked to provide the original of this document only when a job offer is made.
