The staff at Central Perth E.S. wanted to have a way to celebrate the creativity of their students.
“We thought that a Cardboard Faire would allow students to create in a hands-on way that would also get them working collaboratively. We are more than pleased with both the process and the results, says teacher Chris Kevill”
Students were passionate and focussed; they dealt with design and construction problems with resiliency and thoughtfulness. The final sharing and celebration of their work was amazing. The pride the makers had on their faces was great to see and the wonder that other students and parents had was an awesome way to end a special week.
We would like to thank everyone who donated materials, our caretakers for putting up with the invasion of cardboard, and the students of Central Perth Elementary for being magnificent makers.
